I first realized that I could see , hear and sense things that others couldn't after experiencing what I now realize was a near death experience at the age of ten.

Of course at this young and tender age, I simply thought the experience was a dream that I'd had whilst being in hospital suffering from scarlet fever.

It was only much later in life when I could understand how ill I'd been and how concerned people had been for me at the time, that I came to realize that my experience was far more than a dream. In keeping with many others I experienced what has now today become known as a classic near death experience. But as a young child living in a small Welsh mining community, I wouldn't have had any knowledge of near death experiences, which to my mind makes it all the more real.

Even today, many years later, I can recall every moment. Being transported through a vortex, a tunnel, towards a bright shining light. There was no sense of movement, yet the light came nearer and brighter. There was an overwhelming feeling of peace and joy.
